Hi Guy's,

Firstly, I am new here.
-A 40 year old Engineer based in the Midlands, England.

After searching the net, all "google roads" seem to lead to one place....here!
-So I thought I had better join the forum!

I have (for my sin's I suspect), recently aquired the Ehrlich ES1 to ES5/6 (one and the same car),
and no, before you all say, it's not been recycled into a length of Armco, or a ship anchor! -The steel tub car still exists!
(Although in the form of a large pile of bits, but 90% complete!)

Anyway, love it or hate it, I happen to have a soft spot for the old thing, and wish to return it to the track.
However, here is where I would love the help of the enthusiasts here on the forum.....

Firstly, photo's seem in short supply, so I am appealing for any images you may have of the car, which I am quite willing to pay for,
especially paddock/ casual shots, but basically anything, even if it only appears in background shots.
-The ideal would be the rear end of the car.

Secondly, I would dearly love to contact any of the drivers from the period!
-Although I am guessing this is a long shot!
I have seen Mr. Rouff post on here, and hope I may contact him and the others in time.

Basically, I would love to hear from anyone with a story about the car, good or bad.
Pictures of course would help with the restoration a great deal!

So, there you go, please try to be kind to someone afflicted!

Best regards to all,

Graham Boulter.

Is this the late 60's F3 car that was supposedly based on a Brabham?

I think it has been discussed here recently.

Welcome to the Forum Graham.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your interest, and the welcome!

-No, this is the next car, first run in 1972, using the 1600cc TC engine.

Thanks again,

Graham.

Hi Graham,
Bev Bond who drove the car in 1972 I believe is an occasional poster here on TNF. There are no pics of it on his Facebook page but I can put you in touch with him.

Welcome Graham!

I'm very interested as I was helping Andrew Fellowes sort out the earlier Brabham-based car mentioned above. Just understanding the exact race record of the car you now own would be a huge step forward.

Hi Allen,

I have read the posting on the Brabham based car.

Firstly, I can help with the "right shade of blue" for the early car, if all Ehrlich's were the same shade.....
I have several sets of bodywork for my car, from each year/change, and whilst it started off white with blue stripe, it reverted back to the mid blue when Pierre Dieudonne drove the car. -All my bodywork is original paint.

I have a partial history folder that came with the car, and Gerald Swan's site is superb, and covers most results.

-I need to sit down and collate everything!

Best wishes, Gra.

Drivers were...

'72 Bev Bond
'73 Derek Lawrence, Danny Sullivan
'74 Derek Lawrence, Chris Smith
'75 Tony Rouff
'76 Pierre Dieudonne, Richard Hawkins, Oscar Notz, Mike Tyrell
'77 Pierre Dieudonne

On the 2nd May, 1976 Mallory Park, the car actually won a race, in the hands of Richard Hawkins!
