Last weekend 26/27 March saw the arrival of a new annual (planned anyway) Classic Car Show in North West England. It's an indoor event held at the former "Museum of Museums", now renamed "EventCity" next door to that shoppers' paradise, the Trafford Centre.

I was surprised to see (as far as I know) that it hadn't been signposted on here, so apologies for not doing it myself.

Anyway my plans to help man our MG Car Club stand on Saturday were scuppered twofold - first by my wristband having been half-inched out of the envelope courtesy of Royal Mail, and secondly by a dose of something that kept me in my pit for 24 hours.

Anyway I went along as a punter on Sunday and paid my tenner for a stroll around. It seemed there were more exhibits than people there - certainly "a small crowd and no crowding", and I spent a pleasant couple of hours wandering around the three halls.

A few motors caught my eye - including some nice Lancias ans a red M-B 190SL in fine nick.

I have a few photos, and will have a grapple with Imageshack as it's so long since I've put any on.

Here goes - a neat little Lancia:

I saw a poster for that and did wonder if it was in the M of M. (A strange place - but useful if you want to avoid the dreaded Trafford Centre when the wife and daughters are shopping).

Here's the cheeky looking little Lancia Appia again:

Very narrow. And here's a larger cousin, an Aurelia GT:

Er, no it isn't. I've just remembered why I haven't pasted any picks for months. ImageShack keeps crashing. Maybe more when my blood pressure decreases.

Did I say pasted any picks?? I meant posted any pics. :drunk:

The Museum of Museums seems to have been consigned to the er, museum, Alan. From now on it's "EventCity" (sic) as they say.

Here's the Aurelia GT:
