The object of the game is to predict the outcome of the battles within each team. You score points for guessing the correct winner both in qualifying and in the race, additional points are given for predicting the gap between the drivers. However, if your driver fails to beat his teammate by as many positions as you predicted you get no additional points at all, so be careful!
Rules
- The player scores points for correctly guessing which driver in each team gets the better result both in qualifying and in the race.
- 'No winner' is also considered a valid guess and it will be awarded 3 points if both drivers fail to get a result.
- Additional points are given for guessing the difference in position between the drivers.
- Deadline: Start of the first practice session.
- If a team replaces a driver after the competition has started, but before the deadline, the new driver substitutes the original driver in entries which haven't been updated to reflect the change.
- If a team replaces a driver after the deadline, no points will be given for that team.
- All grid position penalties will be ignored.
- Any penalties or disqualifications handed out after the race is over will also be ignored.
Scoring
Since many of the driver pairings are a bit lopsided, I decided to modify the scoring system to reflect this. Last season all drivers had the same value throughout the season which meant that a lot of the entries looked more or less the same week after week. After all, why would you ever want to pick underdogs like Massa or Petrov when Alonso and Kubica were worth same number of points?
In order to fix this problem the driver values will now change depending on how they perform. The values will be calculated like this:
In the first race all drivers are worth 3 points and after that the following formula applies:
Value = 2 + ((NumberOfDuels - Wins)/Wins)
or, in the case of drivers with no wins at all (since you can't divide by zero)
Value = 2 + NumberOfDuels
where NumberOfDuels means the number of times the two drivers in a team have faced each other during the season, including both qualifying and races. All values will be rounded upwards to the nearest whole number and the 'No winner' alternative will always be worth 3 points. To give an example: At the end of last season Schumacher had the following statistics: In qualifying 5 wins and 14 losses and in the races 6 wins, 13 losses means he had a total of 11 wins in 38 duels. This gives him the value 4.45 which is then rounded up to 5. Don't worry if this sounds complicated, I'll post a list with all driver values when I open each round.
In addition to this, 1 point is given for each position between the drivers up to the predicted number, provided that:
- The correct driver wins.
- The predicted difference in position is no bigger than the actual difference in position.
- In qualifying: Both drivers record at least one timed lap.
- In the race: Both drivers are classified.
Players who miss a round will be given a score that is 5 points lower than the lowest scoring player of the round.
Example (involving one team only):

and the following results (and both drivers having the value 3 points):

Player 1 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 3 points the race but no points for the positions because in both cases the predicted margin was too big. Result: 6 points.
Player 2 gets 3 points for correctly guessing the winner in qualifying and another 2 points for the winning margin but no points for the race because he picked the wrong driver. Result: 5 points.
In this example the perfect guess would have been Hamilton 4, Hamilton 3 for a total of 13 points.

Entry Format
Please post your entries in the following format with your name first followed by your entry and try to spell everything correctly and put the drivers in the same order as in the list above. Unlike last year, the scores will be calculated automatically so names that aren't spelled correctly or are in the wrong place won't give any points unless I happen to notice the mistake.
Please try to make sure you use the correct format for your entries. Last week only one of you put your name before the entry (I want this mostly because I'm a lazy bastard and copy-pasting everything is easier than typing the names manually but also to avoid mistakes). Also make sure the names are in the right place. Last week about half the entries had the Hispania drivers last instead of the Virgin drivers. Furthermore, I now want you to put a comma between all values in your entries. This is because I can't use spaces to separate the columns when I copy everything into Excel as I had intended (doing that splits 'di Resta' and 'No winner' into two columns).
Finally, I want to remind you that the driver values are no longer the same for every driver, you'll find the current values in the driver list above.
