Cheers,
These 2 images have resurfaced recently, after several years hidden from the public.
This is a study for a future Middle-engined Quattro, which looks very much alike
as the RS002 Gr.S Protoype that is displayed in the Audi Museum....
If anyone has more information, you're welcome !

I have no recollection of this vehicle at the time, thanks for posting the pics and articles.
Is it me or does this car Audi a familial resemblance to the Group C spec De Cadenet Lola ?
Looks like someone at Audi spotted the mistake if it only had 12 miles on it.

Getting curious, having a look around the web and finding an article from a magazine:
Does anybody know when and where this was printed?
With this two concept drawings/models: I'm pretty sure that even Gr.S cars had to be build in a roadgoing version. That might be what those two are.

Motorsport magazine May 2005 COULD be the answer.
I was just googling around and found this thread in another forum.
