I really want to put up a flag in our campsite at the British GP this year - so many people do, but what is the best method for the pole?
There are plenty on ebay made of aluminium, but I guess required a fairly deep hole to secure them. If the campsite is bone dry what are you supposed to do?
Any pro's on here fancy sharing some advice?
Decent method for flag pole in a campsite?

A friend of mine used a pool cleaning extender. I have no idea how he secured it though. I was just thinking it might be cheaper than a real flag pole.

Fishing rod! Just make sure it's reasonably sturdy at the end otherwise it might bend too much in the wind.
I've got an extendable one which folds right down making it easy to fit into a ruck sack. No doubt you could find
something similar on ebay.
If you didn't have a tent to tie the rod to I guess you could strap it to a short pole sunk into the ground.
