Le Mans had a GT1-class for their 2010 edition. Two Luc Alphand Aventures-Corvette C6.R-cars were entered, and by the reliable racingsportcars.com site, these were Pratt & Miller build chassis' #002 and #006. They were used as early as 2005 (002) and 2007 (006) by Corvette Racing. In the preceding years Luc Alphand entered chassis' #003 and #004, with #004 going back to 2007 in Alphand hands. What happened to 003 and 004 for the 2010 season and why did Alphand change the cars for 2010? As far as I know Luc Alphand Aventures aren't a team as such, but rather a brand name, putting their name on vehichles.

And what is the history of the engines. From 2000 to 2006 they are stated as 6991 ccm units, but by 2007 as 6986 ccm engines. Again, Martin's site it good value, but the recent ACO book differs calling the engines by their lesser capacity by 2007-2009.

Luc sold his cars at the end of 2009 to Baron Rothchild for his museum. The 2010 Luc Alphand Aventures GT1 cars were actually the Mad Croc Racing FIA GT1 World Championship cars.

Thank you for the reply. It makes some sence and might explain why Alphand didn't won the '10 GT1-catagory - which was my favorite.

The picture below appeared in the "Transporters" thread and may partially answer your question :

Chassis #003 was destroyed in a fire in late 2009 while the team was was on its way to the Abli for a round of the FFSA GT Championship. The fire consumed the transporter, the car and much of the team’s equipment and spare parts.

What a sorry sight! Once again, pictures explain very effectively. But #004 was apparently not part of this accident, so what happened to this car? Thank you for the link, Jager.

Nope.... Alphand's cars always belonging to Baron Rothchild
