I found this picture of François Cevert on his Motul M1(¿A modified Brabham BT38, perhaps?) but I don't know where it was taken. It's 1973, that's all I know. F2 Register doesn't help because it has a few blanks on driver's numbers. ¿Any help?

Bobby Rahal imported and drove a very similar car at a Driver's School I attended in 1973.

My guesses.... this may be earlier than '73.... and I think Tom Pryce's helmet seems to be in it. Definitely not Cevert's helmet, and my guess is he did no F2 this late.

Could be dead wrong on both counts, though! :p

Looks like the F2 Motul that Chris Meek (Titan Properties on the wing) sponsored Tom in before the Token.

shown here at Rufforth later with Chris driving...

Definitely Tom Pryce, and I'm pretty certain it's at Rouen. Although the Sheldon Black Book and Stefan Örnerdal’s F2 Register both list Pryce as driving Motul M1 #5 in that race, in the Motoring News report there's a photo of him driving car #44. Whether the references are wrong, or whether #44 was a spare car he drove in practice, I don't know.

Cevert actually won the Pau F2 race in 1973, driving an Elf 2 (Alpine A367).

(¿A modified Brabham BT38, perhaps?)

According to a contemporary source, Pryce indeed drove a Titan Properties-entered Motul M1 (built by Rondel) in '73.

Ah, I actually do recall reading of that, and especially that great event which many F1 drivers partook in (like Trois Rivieres in the best days).

Thanks for righting my wrong.... that way I can be right next time! ;)

Pryce at Rouen, 1973.
Cevert NEVER drove a Motul/Rondel

This was the third, of three, different Rondel chassis that Pryce used - he also raced Chris Meek's Titan Properties car in Atlantic, and the car first used by Jody Scheckter in F2. This was a new car at Rouen

Sorry for the mistake
Of course it's Pryce; I was editing F2 photos early in the morning (135 of 'em) and Cevert's name surely slipped in there by mistake. I've gotta remember not to touch the PC before 9:00AM. Thanks for answering, everyone.

...and for the sake of completeness, the Motul M1s were not modified Brabham BT38s, but an original design by Ray Jessop. The previous year the Rondel BT38s were modified to front radiator spec with a nose that was very similar to the Rondel Motul nosecone.
