This is my forst post to this really interesting forum.
I had these pictures given to me back in the 60's and thought they might be of interest.
I also have what I think are some pictures that by brother took at Brands as a grass track and car racing anti clockwise.

Number 10 looks not unlike the Pike Goldie? Nice shots, anymore?

That's not John Surtees! It looks more like John Hartle.

Hi Terry, granted it's a pretty severe short back and sides, but it must be John. Isn't that him also on the same number 23 Manx in the top pic ?

I have always thought that.
I found these pictures in my mothers belongings when she died. My brother unfortunately died age 38 back in 19967.
He used to take me to Brands on his BSA C11 and I can remember seing the 500cc car races and in particular Don Parker, number 12 I think. Amazing what info we retain and yet I can hardly remember names at all these days.
I'm sure others on this site will identify it correctly. I have found it difficult to find other pictures of brands as a grass track.

Lovely shot-possibly a continential rider by the front No. plate. Obviously a road circuit in the seventies. I cant pin it down any further but I will have a look in some old race mags. and see what turns up.

I reckon it's a novice : dodgy front number plate, still has the kick starter, rear number plate bracket and clocks on the bike : never mind the dubious leathers ! I'd have thought German, but with two wheels in the air, could also be Irish....be good to find out !

Hi, you may be right but I seem to remember chesnut palings searating the spectators from the track action-certainly when I was performing there.

106 is Dudley Edlin on the Melem Special and, next to him, Phil Webb on the J.A.B.S.

It surely is Surtees, that helmet, bike number 23, on the same day, and Larryd, I think you are spot on with Dudley Edlin. The left hander is I think, Paddock Hill, the 'wrong' way round.

Think that it is Clearways, the wrong way round not steep enough for Paddock.

Clearways without a doubt. I remember seeing pics like that in the Kentagon and also at Peter Woollets house in Sevenoaks.

Its not.
I think that you will find that this is a reverse image of Charlies bend at Cadwell Park.
