I have posted another one of my film clips on Utube. ( my username Blinkinsheep )
In the race are a number of recognisable car makes and the film was taken to feature Derek Buckler driving his prototype Buckler, racing number 60. I cannot find any photos in my Buckler archive with this racing number and one wartime airfield looks much like another to me.
Era late 1940's to early 1950's
Any help from this forum would be gratefully received.
Unidentified English sports car race circa 1940's-50's

I would go for Silverstone when the start line was on the Farm Straight , but you don't get a lot to go on.

Thanks Pete. I recall that the farm featured highly in the old days and that it was not uncommon for a car to have an "off" and appear back at the pits with a cabbage or two in the air intake
Davidstow is another possible circuit of that ilk.

Are the hills at the end really part of a continuous film? If so I'd vote against Silverstone.

I am working from a single professional DVD compilation of a number of 2+ minute 9.5mm home cine films spliced together in no particular order, as the cassettes were mostly not labelled. Also my digital editing programme is too crude to cut at an exact frame for which I apologise ( I did have several attempts) .The hills are I think the mountains of North Wales and not in any way related to the race clip. I did mention this on the Utube page.
