It's Davide (a long time fan of the forum). For my F.1 research I would like to know if anybody (I suppose from the US) have the complete entry list of the Indy 500 rookie tests from 1950 (first year of F.1) to 1960 (last edition of the F.1 era). I don't even know if the rookie test was mandatory every year.
Thanks in advice
Davide

For your F1 research, can I respectfully suggest that as a starting point you clearly understand what "Formula 1" means. Formula 1 is the name of a "formula" or set of regulations drawn up by the FIA for a type of racing car. Although it has been embodied in the title of the "FIA Formula 1 World Championship" this does not mean that the meaning is the same. See the final paragraph of the Wikipedia entry for "Formula 1" for a succinct explanation of the difference.
What you mean is that you are interested in data for the years when the Indianapolis 500 was a qualifying round of the World Drivers' Championship.
You may find the data you are seeking on one of the websites that specialise in data about the Indianapolis 500 - good luck!

This site doesn't look like it has everything you want, but perhaps it might help fill in some other gaps(?)...

Hi,
I know that website very well, it helped me a lot in recent years, but there's not what I'm looking for unfortunately...

Thanks!Detailed information can be found in the Daily Trackside Reports (DTR), which used to be available at the official Indy 500 website. Unfortuantely, this was redesigned several years ago, and as a result is nigh unusable these days. I suppose the DTRs are still there, but I for one am unable to find them (or anything else!) on the current website. Try emailing them if you can't find them either.
