Anyway, enough airfield anorak stuff, suffice to say that it's Staverton.

Another picture, from Simon Lewis, at Staverton to identify:

Is the #76, Lotus VI, registration NDF 32, driven by H. W. Swanton?

Swanton drove the Lotus on the circuits in 1955, see:

https://library.revs...arch/"NDF 32"/1

Swanton also ran at the Daily Telegraph meeting at Brands Hatch, 1 August 1955.

Another photograph of the car appears in Autosport, 1 July 1955, Page 828.

Maybe RAP can help?

Rupert, If we're thinking the same person this is Donald H Swanton - he's an Aussie. I don't have much transcribed for his UK events. But do have that Aug 55 Brands programme, where he's listed in a Lotus Ford and another Australian, Dick Cobden is also listed (as too some chap named Brabham). Don raced aircooled Cooper in Australia prior to the UK.

December 1958 AMS has a note in Spotlight that he was back in Oz after 2 1/2 years in Europe and now working for Lucas. But it must have been a bit longer than that. He arrived back with an ex Peter Ashdown Lotus XI.
