I have a shoe box filled with 35mm negatives of motor sport from Formula 1 at Brands Hatch to Club and International racing at Silverstone via VSCC at Donington.

They are not Cahier, Bloxham or Klemantaski, but ...... they are my own efforts from novice to experienced novice. Some show well know names, and races from early 80's to the advent of digital cameras.

I do not want them ...................?

Shame to throw them away.

They need to be scanned...

But it's a big job.

I have some experience in this from when my mentor passed and I got his collection I would be glad to take them.
I'm not in a good financial position to pay for them but could manage the shipping.
I found good spots for most of his collection and made many people happy as I was able to give the vintage racing pics back to the car owners
so they had original pics. I'm still finding places for some of his collection.

Let me know

I'm also PMing you, scanning takes time but is golden and not a mystery with a few workflow efforts.

Happy to help, Please don't pitch them.

My advice...keep them or donate to a British racing historian. Be careful if you wish to give it away...in the end some opportunist will claim copyright on YOUR efforts!!!!!

Many thanks to all who responded with offers and advice, all are gratefully acknowledged I have, however, decided that they should go on a first come first served basis. I am therefore passing the neg's to well respected member of the forum, who I believe will make any suitable images available to TNF's.

I will soon have a large amount of 'scrap paper' to dispose of, and I will try and sort out a fair method of distributing any items wanted.

Cheers,,

My fear as well! I nearly got dragged into a similar situation recently at a time I was really needing the funds. Glad I didn't.

Provided these images do get circulated to the betterment of motor racing history, particularly in their country of origin, it's all good.

Good Luck, Bauble! I'm pleased you found a solution beyond burying or trashing your racing moments.

Bauble good to hear you will be doing something good with them. I'm sure it's hard to sort or look through but if you run across any Shadow F1 pics I'd love to see them.

Take care
