The team was thinking on their feet with Jenson today, some good strategy, but it required Vettel, and Alonso to pit. They've done well today just the others did better.

As a drive, Button did everything he could. He was the quickest guy most of the time and was simply amazing today. Such a contrast to Hamilton's race.

You must be kidding, the strategy was pisspoor, both did one stop to much, at the wrong times. JB should've won it and LH would've easily got 4th.

Alonso
Button

Two safety cars, various strategies, penalties and incidents galore.

Please don't troll.

We threw the race win away. Ok, we can argue that Jenson on new options vs Vettel on 25-laps primes should have overtaken him. But that's the way it is.

I'm so pissed off with the tires being allowed to be changed.

Button was the quickest because he had super soft tyre while Alonso and Vettel had soft tyre.

By the way, Alonso, Vettel and Button deserved the victory, great race.

The rules should be changed. Changing tyres and rear wings during a red flag is simply not right.

Incredible....everything that could go wrong did. Lewis taken out by BOTH the Ferrari B team and Red Bull B team. I fully expect him to also get a penalty for canada even though Pastornado gave him no room.

Button - Did anyone really think they wouldn't screw up the strategy?

Changing tires under a red flag is one of the dumbest ideas in racing regulation...

Other than that, congrats to Alonso for driving that truck to 2nd place.

Should have been one of the greatest finishes ever if they kept their original tyres, the tyres exchange at restart is for safety but destroyes one of the best possible race finishes, really sorry for F1.

If ever there was a race to prove that the FIA don't want to see racing this was it.

Button is pissed. That tyre reg should be deleted, it ruined the entire race and has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

Disaster. Best advert for getting Monaco off the F1 calendar I've ever seen. Keep it as an exhibition, just take away the points.

Monaco

To complete overtake you should be either 4-5 seconds faster, or, overtake like Lewis

I'd agree.

Hamilton was a liability on the track today and should be disciplined.

Unbelievable luck for Vettel.

Lol at Hamilton's race. Grid penalty for next race?

Double lol at Merc. Just fire everyone.

what a mess, mclaren really ruined it for both button and hamilton. will wait to see what penalty lewis gets but if its not for this race then it will be at least 5 places on the grid at canada...

How can vettel be so lucky?

Everyone seems to forget that Vettel had bad luck on his first pit stop. Without those problems he would have had track position over Button and easy win!

That's how 50% of Hamilton's races would look like if he didn't have fastest cars (top 2-3). But without the pace. Some Monaco specialist...

Hamilton totally lost his head this race and weekend. He has not grown up since 2007. Best driver on the grid? Ha! .Vettel was lucky as usual, I think he would have been taken in the final laps. Some terrible driving buy those markers, was really amateur. Awesome monaco race, best in many many years. And it was dry!

Pathetic rule. What was the point of the other 70+ laps if you can just restart your car on fresh tyres for the last few laps? What is the pit lane for??

Doesn't really matter, he won fair and square. I'm not a Vettel-fan by any stretch of imagination, but to say his win was a total gift is wrong.

Yes they would, he was already beginning to succumb to Alonso...

Also think celebrating a win by default in that manner was crass...
