in the USA everyone knows the SW is dry and cars last better then the NE or mid west
cal az nv nm are the happy hunting grounds for salt free older iron
so were else in the world go to collectors hunt cars in similar condition

Almost anywhere, when you buy an old car, the rust is FREE!

As Ray pointed out, inland is the best place. Most of my stuff came from old wreckers and farms inland. Most of the 'parts recyclers' on the coast side these days have a higher turn over rate with their stock and can easily scap the carcass at Sims once they're done.

South Africa is a good place for Brits to buy rust free cars since they are also right hand drive.
