Toby moody said today when the change to four stroke 990s happened seemingly nobody was talking about "the stinkers" anymore, another dorna brainwashed man, absolute muppet, as rossi would say "for sure"

Toby M and Julian R are hereabouts, perhaps someone could point them towards this one for a comment?

That idiot Moody is so in love with himself. What with his bit of hill climbing in a car and cycling. His inane comments (many of which sound right of out 'What Prat' magazine) annoy me to the point of switching the crap off.

His fawning over the 'new' Honda Moto3 (which looks like an RS125 with a 4 stroke engine) was enough to make even the most hardened of constitutions throw up.

If Simoncelli fancies letting out some frustration perhaps he could go up to the Europsport 'babble box' and punch his lights out (a move I would describe as 'hard but fair).

regarding julian, i posted this for him a while ago, still totally fizzin about these guys and to think i had so much time for them years ago.

jjust caught the 88 brazilian gp there on eurosport 2, have to let a bit of steam off about it! now ive had the video review round of that race for a long time so i know of nick harris's poor commentary as he kept calling chili as mackenzie and saying that it was mackenzies best race of the year which it by far wasnt.the thing that really dissapointed me was julian ryders comments after the race giving the completely wrong power output of the 500s from that year by about 35bhp then toby moody jumping in wth - so a modern 600 would be faster. really dissapointed its bad enough seeing all the smoke being blown up this 4 stroke forced monopoly that we dont need inaccuracy like this as the modern "fan" takes it as fact.im sure you realise your mistake julian, so if you read this could please put this right in your next broadcast or column you write. thank you in advance a very very annoyed 2 stroke enthusiast.

Pompous & Squeeky, what a pair of nobs. They get so carried away apparently being clever, but reading straight out of the record books, they stop watching the racing. Last year they completely missed Scott Redding's 3rd place, as they waffled on between themselves.

i was hearing today that the moto gp at assen was cancelled as one of those super trick 600s dumped its guts all over the track, brilliant.

mabye they should give him a 20 second penalty for making the inline procession use another racing line :rotfl:

never mind though the march of the revolution and superior technology continues

Joe you raced in the great years, do you really think that MotoGP is good? its poor, & we are having the wool pulled over our eyes, I did not watch Silverstone a GP couple of weeks a go out of choice, its the first time I have chosen to give it a miss, I dont know who won the Moto2 or 125, but caught winner of MotoGP on news, I feel liberated having not sat and watched it, WSB & BSB was so much better entertainment race wise last weekend, I really hope that the new teams that are "allowed" in MotoGP next year along with the 1000cc limit can rejuvenate it?

Yep, everything was perfect when racing, from club activities up to worldchampionship rounds, was nearly a Yamaha cup...
Nevertheless, we have now witnessed a lot of problems with oil spills (Dutch TT, NW 200, D. Jefferies accident, allegedly Bill Currie's accident too) so something has to be done..apart from the obvious thing that riders should not carry on when they have detected a oil leak

I'm more pee'd off with Grands Prix now being a 3 race meeting, all the way down from the northeast of england to Silverstone for 3 races ? err no thanks, the 70s to 80s may have been the Yamaha cup but at least it meant full grids and the chance to see the boys more than once a day .
Silverstone 79....125, 250, 350, 500, sidecars x 2, and F1 four strokes, now that was a day out compared to this, Silverstone today 125, 600, 800.

Well, my comment was only supposed to curb some exuberance about the good old days, but I agree, the return of investment when you visit a GP nowadays is definitely poor

Yep not a suprise, Honda call the shots & have done since MotoGP came into being, plus they did not sell two stroke road bikes, how & why the other manufactures caved in & went along with it...well who knows?

I don't follow you, Honda have always pushed 4 strokes and generally have never wanted to market a 2 strokes unless there was no other choice such as the CR series MX bikes.

As you know, one of the more important precepts of the capitalist system is producing goods/services demanded by the market. The writing's been on the wall for strokers for decades; why throw money away developing a device that could eventually become outlawed/unmarketable ?

And meanwhile in Girona,OSSA are beavering away with their beautiful little fuel injected 2 STROKE trials bike, the 280i.Simple,light,efficient and effective !!
Honda's have the key to future 2 strokes with their 'activated radical' concept. What's going on

Its out already and I am told that a 2 stroke enduro bike will be launched in the autumn. They have effectively eliminated their biggest potential market though, the US.But no bad thing in my view, cos when THEY decide to drop you its curtains !! as many others have found to their cost.

Yes Spain is in the 'cack' I'm afraid with around 25% out of work

an excellent article, cheers for posting. i see mr bartol getting his usual great comments in aswell.

it seems more and more peoples eyes are getting opened to what they are doing , i hope to see the day it backfires on them.

i remember reading how the original mr honda disliked the 2 stroke and when they reluctantly built the ns500 the pioneering engineers who built it done it in a small corner as to not to cause to much disruption to the nr project!!!!!

mrjoe90 mentioned about them getting an rg500 to test alongside the nr and i think it was nigel everitt who had a production rg500 making as much power, and could have got more than the nr before he was told to stop. it seems like the denial has closed their own potential as they made some stunning two stroke road/race bikes.

were these the family dirty secrets.

Well, Mr Honda could tell you a thing or two about design...

Mr Honda, of the Honda Motorcycle Corporation, died and went to heaven for judgment. At the gates, St. Peter told Mr Honda, "since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven." Mr Honda thought about it for a minute and then said, "I want to hang out with God. I have a question for Him." St. Peter took Mr Honda to the Throne Room and introduced him to God. Mr. Honda then asked God, "Aren't you the inventor of women?" God Said, "Ah, yes. Indeed I am". "Well," said Mr Honda, "Professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your design; 1- There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion. 2- It chatters constantly at high speeds. 3- Most of the rear ends are too soft and have excessive wobble. 4- The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust. 5- Plus the monthly down time and aggravation are outrageous, and I don't even wanna start talking about the maintenance costs. "Hmmmm, you do raise some good points" replied God, "Lets have a wee look." God went to his Celestial super computer, typed in a few things and waited for the results. After a moment God said, "Well, it may be true that my invention seems to be flawed, but according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention than yours."

Nice one Renn! Another one is about the bloke who's farts sounded like "Honda". The NHS was snookered and had no answer to this embarassing problem. The guy decided to try alternative therapy and,due to the Japanese connection found a Japanese doctor in Harley Street. After paying a large consulting fee and being examined in the area of his fundemental orifice he was told he had an abcess up his bum. "An abcess" he said "How does that cause my problem?" The Japanese Doctor replied "In Japan we have important proverb-Abcess make the fart go Honda!"
