Usual crap piece from Richard Westcott, shown on BBC Breakfast which has long since stopped being a news programme.

Getting coverage of the TT is, in principal, a good thing but that was just portrayed as noisy motorbikes disturbing the tranquillity of a beautiful island whilst unknown men "dice with death" and by the way MORE have died this year. It said nothing about the racing, the sport, what it does for the island economy; didn't even give the results of the races. That crash may have ended Milky Quayle's career, but it didn't touch on what he does for the TT now. Utter garbage.

Sorry -not really with you on that.

Compared with the usual guuter press crap that report is good and well balanced.

This place is bloody dangerous, I know, I crashed there 3 times, have a series of broken vertibrae to prove it, lost friends there. No need to cover up that aspect otherwise it is NOT a balanced report. Weigh it against the positive both from the spectators and Milky.

I'd still race there if I could. As Quayle says 'Bloody Awesome'.

There is a movement to knock the Beeb because it's the Beeb.

Better comment from Westcott in three minutes than you'll hear from the two muppets on MotoGP on Eurosport in a season.

Yep I thought it was a good well balanced piece, & if I knew nothing about racing & the TT It would make me want to have a closer look.
Its a news clip & I thought Richard did a good job, it didnt go into the usual statistics of x amount have died, good job done BBC.

Well , I personally can find no fault in the film , as has been said it is a fair , well balanced short film on the TT , for the rather excellent ( in comparison to ITV's poor offering ) Breakfast , which is a news/magazine , rather than rolling news programme .
I don't think a lot more could have been said in 3 minutes , in a positive manner , yes , well done BBC

It is good that the BBC have taken the time to broadcast this, the costs involved in producing a three minute piece are out of proportion to what we think they are. It did a good job in my book, sadly some aren't contented by anything it seems ?

This week on ITV, Guy Martin said he enjoys the danger. He'd not ride the IOM if there wasn't the possibility of death if he made a mistake.

Didn't Moss say something to that effect about racing in his day? The banners and nervous nellies don't like it but if there is no price to pay for getting it wrong and in effect anyone can do it, the attraction must diminish big style ?
