I just read that in the paper today 100 years since the GREAT man came onto this planet and ooooo what a life he lead and some of us were lucky enough to see him perform on the world F1 stage ,i sadly only viewed him in his older days and that was a sight to see (i.e) Donnington 1978 or 1979 can t remember.

Doug, a Perth VSCC man, Kon Mell, was a flag marshall at the '57 German Grand Prix. A memory to savour!
