A very hot day in Norfolk yesterday for the 2011 Lotus Festival on the new 300 circuit. Classic Team Lotus put on three 30min demonstrations during the day with their historic cars on track including the recently restored 1990 F1 type 102 with Lamborghini V12 engine (glorious!), type 101 ( Judd V8 ), type 79 ( with Clive Chapman driving ), type 18-Alfa of Malcolm Ricketts, type 25 of Nick Fennell and the F2 type 58 driven by Don Hands. Martin Donnelly was on hand and will drive the 102 V12 at the FoS. Marty was succesful in the works GT Evora winning the Lotus Cup Europe event together with Lotus test driver Gavan Kershaw. My thanks must go out to Titch ( Ian Titchmarsh ) for his professionalism in helping with my efforts in talking to the crowds about Snetterton history in the circuits 60th anniversary year.
