Hello,

I the Arrows A8 post from Pullman99 you can see a DKW streamline motorcycle.
It is a picture taken in the Filching Motor Museum.

I did not know that a streamline DKW motorcycle survived. Is this an original and does anybody know anything more about this motorcycle?

Sorry. I can not upload the pictures because I am at work now and can not go to all internet sites.
The pictures are in the above link.

Regards,
Martijn

Looks like a fairing for a world record bid with it's fin tail. Walfried Winkler held some records, but on an unfaired 175 cc bike in'37. Will contact one of the DKW specialists over here

Not sure if the 'fin' isn't part of that black board along the rear wall, Renn. I might also mention that the fairing is very similar indeed to the Haas & Hollaus road-race fairings on the RennFox and Rennmax. Wonder why that name seems familiar?

Well, the fin....

Compared to the farings they used for racing, that one seems awful bulky and has no plastic bubble, but I might be wrong again..

Yep, the Rennmax of '54 was a nice bike, it won every race entered
