Just a thing that amazes me.
In the 1983 Formula Ford Festival aorund 150 drivers took practice and raced in the eight heats of the first round.
How is possible that Andrew Gilbert-Scott won having the car #250?
Around one hundred cars couldn't compete?
Thanks in advance.

According to Autosport magazine there were 'nearly 200' cars originally entered, but quite a few of these didn't appear, so there were 130 cars ready to go at the start of practice. This was down on 1982's figure of 179.

1982 had 211 entries. The highest number car was 278. I don't why there were gaps in the numbering apart from 13 that was often left out.
I think the grid limit was 30 cars in those days, meaning 240 cars could have started.
