I'm looking for information about the American, David Weir, who finished fourth at Le Mans in 1971 in a Ferrari 512M with Chris Craft. Does anyone know, is he still around? And if so, how he might be contacted? Or where vital statistics, birth and, if applicable, death dates, might be found.
Thanks, TC

David I recall as a very nice guy, despite a rather unconventional and frankly weird background. Try Googling the Polish-American novelist Jerzy Kosinski and steel fortune heiress Mary Hayward Weir...and you will understand a little of what I mean.
But David loved his cars and certainly had his heart in the right place.

He's mentioned a few times (including some more info from Doug) in this earlier thread:

The Barchetta website list him in 1971 as being from "...London, 16 Eaton Place, GB (also NY, NY, USA)..."
