Each of us has been impressed by what TNFers can do, and the speed and detail of TNF responses. Here is one question that I suspect will challenge our reputation:
I am trying to help an AC 16/80 owner( his car is in Albury NSW, and came from Queensland) who seeks info on these cars competing in Australia. I can find perhaps two: the Dick Wilkinson 16/80 which George Martin drove at Victor Harbor in 1936, and which I suspect(but do not know for certain) motorcyclist George Winton raced at Phillip Island and Wirlinga in 1938( the chassis number and whereabouts of this car are known); and probably another 16/80 entered for Penrith April 1938 by G Harris( who may or may not have been "Bill Harris" postwar UK Ken Wharton's mechanic on Cooper/ ERA, and later partner in Alexis cars). I have very few photos; the owner has three.
Help!
AC 16/80 "Flea"

Bill 'Alexis' Harris was born in 1922 so, yes, he could just about be your Penrith man
Unable to provide any concrete help though, sorry

Just a short note: According to this source Bill Harris was born in 1915 and died in 1995.

Which makes it even more likely - especially as it says he raced an AC at Penrith

And Gary Simkin may have copies of Bill Harris' albums....
