Background is believed to be:
Tony Marsh asked Dellow to produce a lightweight sprint tubular chassis to take the Armstrong twin wishbone front-end. This chassis construction became the prototype for the DellowMkV.
It is understood that the front suspension including the beam was made by Armstrong as an experimental unit, this was given to Dellow to test out which they never did. Tony Marsh was a semi works driver for Dellow, hence his access to the suspension.

Body originally aluminium, changed to current GRP in 1957/8 - used Rochdale F type body with inserts to increase width and length. Body further modified by removing roof and changing to drop head in 1983/84.
Sold to Ben or William Bainbridge in 1955/6.
With the exception of the 1957/8 Rochdale body, the car is original and as campaigned by Tony Marsh in 1953/4. It is currently now undergoing a complete restoration and will receive a replacement aluminium body to replicate that lost in 1957/8.
