I wonder if anyone can help with a photo of the prize giving ceremony for the 1966 Monte Carlo rally ( yes that was the one with all the disqualifications!).
Can't say why but all will be revealed in time. Picture of the people and the actual tropy would be nice.

Feel free to post up tropies down the years in all forms of motor sport.
They do seem to hand out some ghastly bits of tat these days.
I seem to remember some winners actually threw it out to the crowd if they didn't want to give it house room . I think Niki Lauda actually gave most of his away.

In club racing there was a period when the first three home got what looked like a piece of broken bottle glued to a 2 inch square of brown painted chipboard along with their cheque for the princely sum of £5

Richard - was there a prize giving? So many were disqualified!!!!!
My Father was disqualified that year in a 3.8 Jag SCB666
I have a photo from a few years earlier Father was part of the team of 3 Mk1's which won the Charles Faroux team trophy.
However I can't for the life of me see how to upload it!!!!
