I remember a few seasons ago there being mention of examples of this car reappearing but I have seen nothing since. With so many cars being restored and raced it is surprising we have not seen at least 1 in either the Orwell or masters series.

I think this was the type that Andy Cummins was driving when he injured his legs at Donington during a SSC race. I cannot remember seeing Andy race since then either.

The Daf Variomatic Huron was out at Mallory after a Simon Hadfield restoration.

Dutch owned according to this

One has been for sale by Maxted Page for some time.There are only two!
Its only suitable for Martini and CER races and has been prepared by Simon Hadfield.It's ready to roll at about 130K ish ,may be bit more.Cheap!

The Hadfield prepared car at MP has conventional gearbox as original.Other car is at DAF with variomatic select system.

I think more than 2 were built but not sure they have all survived.

The Camel liveried car was the works entry and i think the first chassis built.

I know Tony Goodwin bought one which he says was an absolute disaster. He was very pleased when he got a drive in a B23.

I just realised that Tony Goodwin bought a Dulon not a Huron, the U and the O are in the same place is my excuse, looking at the results for the Huron it, too, could be described as a disaster.

The concept was sound, some features really clever, though :)
