I don't understand why I don't recall this Pat Peck car, but I'm pretty sure that the blue car, No 73, is Kevin Fahey's Nymph. And is the front-engined car on the front of the grid Michael Rock's Holden Special? Could that mean the car on pole is Brian Pugh?

Number 25 maybe the Lynx Peugeot S/C.
Dale.
If it is the Lynx then it would be Max Ulrich if my memory is correct for he owned the Lynx after Colin Bond

As of a couple of months ago Pat was still hale and hearty and living on the East Coast of Tassie (St. Helens I think.)
Darcy passed away some time ago.
Cheers.
Roger.

My last memory of Pat was when she was pummeling the side of my VW, with a HUGE yank tank [Pontiac, or similar], at Amaroo Park.
It wasn't Pat's fault, as Brian Potts [Valiant] literally shoved the Beetle into the pit wall, right into Pat's path! Not a lot of fun.

I dont know that it IS the Lynx Peugeot, but wasnt the name PETER Ulbrich( who when I last heard still owned that car)?
Any suggestions re the blue nosed car on left of pic?
I have just dug out a programme from April 1969 and the Lynx Peugeot is listed as #25 driven by Peter Ulbrich. I think DantTra2858 is getting confused with the bloke that runs in group N. His name is Max Ulrich. Nota Din driven by Gordon Glynn. Pat Peck in the Monza listed as 250cc, so that would probably be a gearbox gokart with a flash body on it.
The blue nose is possibly Arthur Banks, Skoda Special or David Coode, Tuppence Ford.

Thanks for the correction my mind is loosing its grip on life after all it was 40+ years ago, the only thing I can say is that I got us in the ballpark & at my age that is an achievement in itself.

The races were won by Graham Wood in the Cooper and Len Goodwin's Elfin, while Alan Stewart was up in the hunt along with John Mellen's Brabham. These cars would have been further forward on the grid.
The only mention of 'Patricia Peck' in this is that she only completed one lap of the second race (presumably having finished the first), and that her go-kart based device was looked at very closely for the legality of the height of the roll bar. Don't forget, however, this is before belts became compulsory and these things were a little more lax those days, I think the rules actually allowed the bar to be 'not more than one inch' below the level of the helmet.
She did come second in the ladies' race that day, following Christine Cole (Lynn Brown's Mini) home in her Camaro and beating, among others, Gloria Taylor.

Unfortunately the orginal poster to these three threads has issues with technology. Dennis really is a great bloke. R.eally he is. But this new wizz bang internet & computer stuff just isnt his forte'.
[/quote) Hey ---thats where Pat and the Monza disappeared to (three times).Should have gone to the Personnal Photos from Aust. 50`s to 70`s link, but the training wheels fell of the bloody computor. The Monza was a twin engined, gearbox-ed Go Kart with a almost transparent plastic body, similar to the experimental Chev Corvair Monza roadster.
Only ever sighted at this meeting, Ray would be right about elligibility issues. Slow of the mark ---embarrassed a few "real" race cars once wound up!
Gonna press another button now---wonder where this lot will finish up???
