Presumably you're referring to the ENB-Maserati "bitsa" which Lucien Bianchi used in 1962? It was cobbled together from the remains of the three Maserati 150S-engined Emerysons they'd started 1961 with: they were entered sporadically for the rest of the year but were usually DNA or DNQ. The 1962 car did at least start races occasionally, but being half a minute off the pace in Brussels and two minutes off in Germany didn't exactly set the world alight. I believe it went on to hillclimbing with some success though.

There may be something of use to you in these earlier threads:

The story behind Equipe Nationale Belge

Belgian Emerysons

and this Emeryson website:

http://www.hrscc.co.nz/emerysons.html

Although many of the photos in the 'Belgian Emerysons' thread are no longer available, there is a nice one showing the 'Sharknose' at Pau which is still there.

I think you're getting confused with Ecurie Belge, Bjørn, which was an entirely different organisation

Confused I am not , and I was relating to the title of this thread .

The 3 in the bundle of 4 Belgian teams who more or less melted together Belgique , Francorchamps , Belge all 3 were Ecurie , the 4th ENB , was Equipe (also sometimes known as Ecurie .

Sorry, Bjorn - didn't notice the error in the thread title

There was an Equipe Belge and a separate Ecurie Belge in the '50s ... can't say I've ever heard of Ecurie Nationale Belge

Antoine Pilette who posts here and organises the lunches for us at Monaco has all ENB records.

Tim's links in post 3 tells it all , including link to the new book on ENB .

Here is a very short version Ecurie Belge Johnny Claes to Francorchamps
Ecurie Belgique Jacques Swaters to Francorchamps
Ecurie Francorchamps Jacques Swaters
Equipe Nationale Belge from Francorchamps and back to them.
