Prompted by RD500 I found this on YT from Imola 2010 - It just reminds me I wasn't dreaming when I saw KR go around Mallory quickly

thanks for the footage, what amazed me and still amazes me is the detail on these classic machines i took for granted at the time.

take something like a rg500 or an mv triple, the frames are stunning, i got hauled away from parishes 500 at mallory for taking so long just looking at the frame and swingarm.

i set up my video camera directly oppsite the paddock at mallory at around 7am just to catch the bikes warming up and left it running for around an hour. magic

imagine if we had the audio/visual technology back then to capture these bikes, but i suppose we have something as good, the ol memory

I'm pleased I heard that bike KR was riding at Mallory. It was so crisp & being ridden as opposed to cruising around & it is nice to find the YT clip from Imola last year reinforce that impression.
Listening to the (unique) sound of a regular TZ750 being warmed up takes me back 30 years, having been there, done that even though I never rode one...aaaahh nostalgia eh?

Oh , how I agree with you Mike  , I loved warming the TZ750 , and riding it onto the grid from time to time  , don't know why , but seemed so much more ' raw ' than the RG , which appeared to be more refined .......................

Have to make do with my TZ350 now for my 2-smoke fix
