Yep, told me to take Deers Leap flat out in 5th. After I nearly killed myself he chuckled and said, oh I meant on a 250 not a 500Wasn't it him that gave you some circuit-learning advice about the Ulster GP, Stu ?

Good for you Graham, yes superb racing wasn't it. I've just dusted off the indoor trainer in readiness for the winter and I'm still managing about 75-100 miles per week on the roads while the weather permits. I'm similar to yourself in that have shifted about a stone weight, only another stone and a half to go and I'll be happy enough ;)

I love the story on the web site in the section Friend and Mechanic, how Dave Johnson repaired Toms 750 Yam and noticed Tom watching him his reward was a supper for working on the bike.Hi folks,

On the subject of the 652cc Suzuki, Tom's mechanic Dave Johnson has sent me an absolute belter of a photo from the 1979 North-West 200. I'm always very careful and selective about what material I use from that awful day, but this photo is special for it's sheer poignancy. It's currently on the homepage of my website.
