Hi folks,
Some photos of Tom Herron on the bike on my website here:

Fabulous read mate and so well put together. My memories of Tom are crystal clear. He used to scare the crap out of me when we first met. I reckoned he loved doing it to me :)

Wasn't it him that gave you some circuit-learning advice about the Ulster GP, Stu ?

Yep, told me to take Deers Leap flat out in 5th. After I nearly killed myself he chuckled and said, oh I meant on a 250 not a 500

Good for you Graham, yes superb racing wasn't it. I've just dusted off the indoor trainer in readiness for the winter and I'm still managing about 75-100 miles per week on the roads while the weather permits. I'm similar to yourself in that have shifted about a stone weight, only another stone and a half to go and I'll be happy enough ;)

Nice one Stephen, keep at it.

Hi folks,

I love the story on the web site in the section Friend and Mechanic, how Dave Johnson repaired Toms 750 Yam and noticed Tom watching him his reward was a supper for working on the bike.

Anyone who knows Johno will remember he liked his food.

Absolutey legend I have a TOM HERRON sticker in my collection which takes pride of place.

Well done on the web site it is a credit to you.

On the subject of the 652cc Suzuki, Tom's mechanic Dave Johnson has sent me an absolute belter of a photo from the 1979 North-West 200. I'm always very careful and selective about what material I use from that awful day, but this photo is special for it's sheer poignancy. It's currently on the homepage of my website.
