I recently purchased a old Nascar Chassis with the hope of restoring the car and then racing it in a nostalgic series. However, I cannot find any good sources to validate the chassis information so I can apply for my nostalgic race license. Here is what I know about the car. The car has a Roush Racing ignition cover on the dash and a Roush Car plate with B005. Many of the parts on the car having Roush Racing or Roush Composites part numbers. The front clip is marked LFPR 3/8 2-4-97 and the Chassis on the passenger side is marked HRR 3016 4 97. If anyone has a contact at Roush or another way of confirming this chassis was used in the Winston Cup series, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Good luck with your search.
Even if all is lost and the information you seek can not be found all is not lost. The Historic Sportscar Racing, Ltd (HSR) group would let your restoration compete if you reside in their coverage area. I did it for years with a "non-race-history" chassis.

Google is your friend:

You could also try posting your question here: http://www.randyayer.../modelingforum/
It is a NASCAR modeling site, but at least on the old stuff, there are a few people who have some interesting contacts.
