The 1st Brussels Grand Prix Revival was held last weekend at the site of the 1958 World Exposition (around the Atomium).
A pity the organisers couldn't manage to get more "significant" cars, hopes are high to organize a second edition.
You can find my pictures of this event on my Jalbum webspace, just click on the icon of the event.

Super pictures as usual, Luc.

What a shame there seems to be a slight lack of 1.5 litre cars....

I think of all the public roads circuits in the world the Brussels circuit has been more comprehensively destroyed than virtually any other. What a pity.

Beautiful photos, Luc! You might wanna be careful putting pictures of the Atomium online, though, that's actually illegal...!

Barry, why comprehensively destroyed? There were several circuits in that area and it's still possible to trace most of them, including much of the Heysel circuit used for the 1960s Brussels GP.

Well, Rob, if you can find much of the Heysel circuit on this image, you are a better man than I:

I asked the organizer and he told me that as long as I don't start to sell pictures of the Atomium, it wouldn't be a problem.

I hope so, Luc, but you never know... it's a ridiculous situation to begin with. Your photos are truly beautiful though, so how could anyone object to that? :)

Barry, here is a map of what's left of the Heysel circuit, quite a lot I think. The main changes have been to the motorway on the northern end of the course, but with the increases in traffic that could be expected.

I just checked Atomium.be and they say I can publish pictures of the Atomium at a 600 pixels resolution to avoid abuse and I have to ad copyright Atomium.be ...
Mine are at 1024 so I'll have to remove or resize them. Never done that so I hope I won't have to delete and re-upload the album. Grrrrrr.....

It's a March 86A (chassis 86A-30 = ex-Jack Miller apparently) fitted with a carburetted Ferrari 328 engine.
I saw it a few years ago with a guy who had imported it from the States.
These were based on the March 85B F3000, built in 1986 for the American Racing Series which later became Indylights.
They originally had Buick V6 engines but this one was later fitted with the Ferrari engine in the States - the carburettor replacing the road cars injection system.
