Has a modern F1 car been around the Ring and if so what sort of lap tmes have they done or what times do you think one could do.

Nick Heidfeld drove a BMW Sauber round in 2007.
He didn't drive flat out all the way and the car was deliberately restricted with hard tyres, high ride height etc.
He drove the combined Nord & Sud schleifes with an official time around 8 min 30.

An estimated time based on his speeds in different sections was around 6 mins for the Nordschleife and BMW reckoned a time of 5 min 15 would have been possible if they'd tried properly!

The qualifing time of Stefan Bellof with the Porsche 956 in '83 was 6:11 for the 20.8km track.
The lap record for the GP track is at 1:28.3.
The current lap-record for the combined track is 8:23.7 by the Ferrari 458 GT2 car that was on pole for this years 24h race.
If F-1 would race the full Nürburgring we would get a lap time between 7 and 7:30 minutes by my guess.
