Are you sure it is a Tyrrell, and not Derek Warwick in a Toleman. Candy sponsored the Toleman team in 1983.

You've asked that question here before, Neal, in this thread.

I suggested at the time that the car was probably Derek Warwick in the 'General Belgrano' at Brands in 1982, but you didn't respond:

Sorry to hear that, Neal, hope you're all fixed now. So that confirms Chris's theory about the Fly Saudia car - it's Alan Jones in the Williams leading Scheckter's Ferrari (which was #1, not #2 as I said above) and Jarier's Tyrrell at the 1980 British Grand Prix.

I haven't been able to track down the one you thought was Candy Tyrrell #35, but I strongly suspect that it's Derek Warwick in the Candy-sponsored Toleman #35 in his famous drive at Brands Hatch in the 1982 British GP. If so, JPS Lotus #12 would be Nigel Mansell. (Tyrrell, by the way, always raced with #3 and #4 in this period.)

I think that Candy sponsored Toleman in 1982 only at the start of the season, and certainly at Brands the primary sponsor was Cougar Marine. I seem to recall that Candy were involved with Toleman in 1981, and then again in 1983 and 1984

Oops - you're quite right. I'd completely forgotten that.

... so I now think that the print probably depicts Warwick and Mansell at Zandvoort in 1983, as listed here:

although the description given is incorrect. Warwick never overtook Mansell. Mansell crashed out of the race trying to overtake Warwick into Tarzan.
