Thanks for that, Mattijs. Fine report and photos.
It was a big weekend for Retro-Speed magazine as for the first time we associated ourselves with a team Many thanks to Equipe Cooke and Dowde, we will never view motor racing in the same way! As ever we have reports and image galleries at www.retro-speed.co.uk it may be co-incidence but our visited rate grew by 30% in the last seven days. We love it!

Looking at those shots from Eau Rouge makes me wonder if it stil needs balls to be fast there...

Those knock offs look lethal, particularly the rears. i would hate to get close to it, it would be like the scene from Grease in the hotrod race!

I thought protruding spinners were now banned? I once had the side of my Eleven opened lik a can by a set on another car and was sure that the rules then changed(not I haste to add because of me!).Those knock offs look lethal, particularly the rears. i would hate to get close to it, it would be like the scene from Grease in the hotrod race!
In respect to the Alfa Ti very sorry to see it rolled I read on the other place that the Schryver 26R was involved - what happened?

Seems most of them had those big knock offs
And another one of Chris Wilson:

I was at "Les Combes" when it happened. One of the marshalls (an uncle) told me what happened.
Because the safety car was driving to slow, three other cars collided on the Kemmel straight.
Involved where a Cobra, a Jaguar and I believe a Marcos.
I saw the Cobra driving again a few hours later.

I've looked hard, but I can't see a straight panel anywhere. And I'm amazed to see the car escape with so relatively little damage considering the amount of rolls...

These were two different accidents. The Alfa roll caused the Safety Car to come out and whilst it was out the ''M25'' nose to tail happened.

Yes, it's dented everywhere but it's still an Alfa instead of some unrecognizable wreck.

I was a little concerned when I saw the wreck being transported back via the double lefthander. But the hit doesn't look too hard so I hope the driver is OK. I spotted the tape on the rear window early on but unfortunately it was of no use racing in daylight only.Yes, it's dented everywhere but it's still an Alfa instead of some unrecognizable wreck.
Those interested in static shots of the Carrera 6 or the highlight for me, the very fast Lister Flat Iron, send me PM.
Of course, Jan Blieken taking his labor of love, the replica 1961 Ferrari 156 in Belgian yellow colors, to actual racing deserves a special compliment (why was this little car so wide?), but for the rest:
- never seen the paddock so over-crowded on Saturday, I must admire the nerve of participants to cope with the nearly impossible working space
- too much body damage even to pre-60 F1 cars
- silly 70's-80's F1 amateurs spinning in the Radaillon, and even hitting each other in La Source the next lap on Saturday. Luckily no one was hurt.
- too many classics racing in modern set-up, so Sunday I devoted to cycling using my weekend wrist-entry for a shortcut on my way back from Stavelot to hotel in the Hautes Fagnes.
Still a fantastic weekend with a shining sun in the marvallous Ardennes the whole weekend.

Thanks for the compliment. In fact it was the first time I really enjoyed racing the car. After a long time we got the engine running well and I'm not hindered anymore of my back-surgery. I'm not a prof. driver but the car will never compete with formule 1 cars of '62 - 66 and also the engine will never be tuned as the others are. We leave it as original as possible. With my Stanguellini FJ car we are doing well in the FIA championship but in 1960 the car had 70 HP and now we are up to 103 HP. After my flipover at Monza early this year we put in belts and a roll-over bar. The roll-over bar destroyes a bit the look of the car but the belts in fact improve a lot the driving of it because you sit much tighter in it. In the Sharknose we don't put belts in. But Spa six hours was a splendid weekend and finally I could have some nice battles and improve my times a lot. Yes the car is wide I think, I can very easely sit in it (in the Stanguellini I have to sqeeze in). Also the car is heavy compared to the Lotus and Coopers of those days. I think Enzo just cared about the engine. Those interested in static shots of the Carrera 6 or the highlight for me, the very fast Lister Flat Iron, send me PM.

Slightly OT: can anybody tell us something about this Lola T310 can-am car? And where is the other one?
