I read (a rumor) somewhere that in the simulator tests the RB8 was already achieving more DF and it was 3 seconds faster than the RB7.It wouldn't surprise me.

3 seconds faster!

Absolutly! Already looking forward to the bitching and glum faces and lame accusations of cheating by some other parts of the F1 paddock.;)

From joseluisf1:

- Untested source: Rumour is that Newey & his guys achieved enormous downforce and they have a rocket again
- What is clear that RB8 is at least as good as RB7

He usually posts only about Ferrari so take this cautiously.

joseluis sounds a little spanish a,d the day he posted it, is the spanish version of April fools, os I would take it with a lot of salt.

I do. And with these idiot test ban itl be even harder to claw back that advantage.

I liked 2002. I liked 1992 even more. And, judging from the mansellmania, hundreds of thousands screaming brits at the 92 silverstone gp, I wasnt alone.

3 SECONDS??? pmsl. no ebd, new wing tests to stop flexing.. the only way its 3 sec faster is if the new tyres allow.. then all teams will be 3 sec quicker.

3 seconds looks unreal, probably it was 3 tenths.

I hope

who knows, RBR give a shit about the RRA. maybe they found a loophole while running one of their 5 other secret aero tunnels.

i dont believe this 3 secs thing, unless, like someone said, the new pirellis are a lot faster. but i bet RedBull have found something great for them.

then again, Ferrari and mcLaren seem confident that they are on RB's level. to be honest i expect a 3way fight in 2012.

There was an article recently from one of the more respected journos that RB & McLaren were petitioning for a small percentage of ebd again. As for the wings, the FIA believe they've finally worked out how to test for the flex on the wings from 18 months ago.....the top teams will have new iterations already.

As for '3 seconds' though, no chance.

THE LAST TIME AROUND it was Ross' team who got upper hands with top deck exhaust system. So who knows? I hope RBR fails big time.

He doesnt. But I wanna see him, god willing, replicate his 2004 Formula BMW ADAC season and win 18 races next season.

Edit: I meant to say 2004 :)

You are a such breeze of fresh air, because after several last posts methinks unless Seb will win all races and lap everyone in 2012, and more races after that, he will be a such big failure, that we have to just put him in shame.

Well if there are five of them, then they are not so secret, are they? McLaren run out of money and they don't have any?

Brawn top deck had nothing to do with exhausts.

Where do people come up with this tripe?

You know i think the trick to beating Newey will be to stop changing the regulations. The basics are still the same since 2009, but every year theres a new development that is counter productive to the original desire for 2009, and every year they ban it. Maybe once everything settles and nobody can find any serious unthought of methods for producing rear downforce, the likes of McLaren and Ferrari might be able to stay ahead of Red Bull.

Although that was an excellent season for Seb and though it would be a privilege to witness him emulate that perfect year in F1, I'd rather prefer him having a good fight with Fernando for the 2012 title.

Newey seems quite confident about the RB8

Could we now start screaming Conspiracy(!) with Ferrari, Maclaren and FiA teaming up to defeat the energy drink company?

Irony?

Bu anyone on peak will eventually goes down. Question is when and how.
I say this because I particularly dislike what Marko does to this team. His decision made the true racing between the two Red Bull horses disappear in such a sh1tty manner.

or - maybe - he also likes Alfons and would like a match between two of his favourite drivers. it's as if I said I'd like if the 2012 WDC battle was between Vettel, Rosberg, and Raikkonen, it would not be because I fear Lewis/Alonso but because I'd like if my favourite drivers would take all the glory.

If that were the case, then he/you would be hanging out in the Alonso/Rosberg/Raikkonen threads, bigging them up, and not in the Lewis thread, playing mind games. Or maybe it's just because Concorde wants to get some knowledge dropped on him, to which, we are glad to oblige. ;)

I guess you missed the part about McLaren giving Red Bull and Seb an a** whooping? Jenson or Lewis, doesn't matter, either would be great for Seb's reputation as the greatest/luckiest/most-protected-from-his-teammate double champion in history.

But I can understand how painful it must ve been for you to include Button into the "Select little Club" which Ham and Alonso fans created by using the great "Cicular Logic" con after 2007.

So fall back on the tried and tested "team is favoring the guy I hate" line.

Well , you are insulting Webber to be the biggest Village Idiot who lived that he cant find out what is going on !
