Not my usual thing, but I took the "Brooklands" Morgan to KOP HILL climb again weekend before last.
It is very relaxed, untimed runs only, but a suprisingly varied selection of cars ran the hill.
Thankfully the law turns a blind eye to some of the more esoteric "road registrations" as although the hill is closed, the return route is through the village.
Someone had also thoughtfully turned the speed camera on the main road around to face the wrong way.
Highly social, a great atmosphere and reminded me of the first Goodwood in many ways.
Worth a jaunt and a picnic next year if you want a bit of variety.
Everything you can imagine from a replica of the George Formby racing Triumph to Dick Skipworths most excellent collection of Ecurie Ecosse cars.

I thought it was a gas too, BarryD. I'll just be a bit more careful about where I leave the car next year: thanks to those who thought 5mph in the public car park was for the birds, the Whitemanmobile emerged looking like something from King Tut's tomb...

Yes I took the 'Foursome' down on the Sunday, this was my first time there ! Great day, kinda like a poor mans Goodwood Revival ! Unfortunately for me I picked up a speeding ticket In Aylesbury on my return journey ! That'll teach me to get my wildly Inaccurate speedo fixed ! Bill.

Kop Hill Climb 2012 this weekend, just in case any of you may have forgotten...

Saturday's weather is looking a lot better than Sunday's!

Is it advisable to get there really early, or is 9 - 9:30 OK?

That should be more than fine. First run up the hill isn't until 10:00, and its repeated again in the afternoon at 14:00.
