What's that all about?

Children across Britain use the F word and C word in playgrounds every day but I'm auto-censored for using a non swear word on an essentially adult forum

Every forum except The Paddock Club is publicly accessible by everybody of any age.it is only fitting that the language be censored.

Swear words, possibly (though kids hear & see them everywhere nowadays), but why something like s.c.u.m? I've heard it on everything from Blue Peter to Neighbours and Playschool, it's a commonly used word with numerous definitions. Will it not look a little silly if, for example, someone posts an interview here which refers to **** on a visor or tyre?

Sorry, don't mean to moan, but it just seems to me like an extremely poorly thought through example of political correctness gone mad.
