Hello :) we’re thinking of booking a trip to the Malaysian Grand Prix next year and would much appreciate any feedback members have had with www.grandstandmotorsports.co.uk.

This will be our first long haul trip, we usually attend European races, Spain, Italy, Belgium, France etc and organise it amongst ourselves, however not wanting to dive to deeply into the unknown on a long haul race we were looking at booking a packaged trip.

I’ve carried out a search of the forum but rather surprisingly there doesn’t seem to be that much information on www.grandstandmotorsports.co.uk  What feed back could you kindly give me on them or the even the Malaysian race itself?

Many thanks

Carl :)

Go for it

I went to Japan and China in 2007 with them and they were brilliant. The extra excursions were well organised and all the transfers etc were seamless. I also did Spa 2009 with them. I met some nice people on those trips. I've stayed in touch with a few of them. I recommend Grandstand 100%.

I went to Sepang in 1999 but I organised that myself. It was a bit of a faff to get to the circuit, but the transport links might be better now.

Thanks for you input chdphd it’s very much appreciated  I was a bit apprehensive because of the lack of results when carry out a search on here, I thought there would be considerably more than 2 given the size of the forums UK membership

Hi, I've been to Sepang twice . went for the GP last April and the moto Gp last October . The circuit is a 1hr bus ride from KL city centre and costs 10 malaysian ringgets (about £2.50 ) . I sat at turn 3, a two day ticket was about £28. On Sunday morning they have a driver signing session, got to meet Hamilton, Button , Vettel and more. Kuala Lumpur is a fantastic city.

Yeah, I've used Grandstand and they are very good. They look after you well etc. but do make you pay over the top for their packages. Going to far flung races I wouldn't know what I was doing anyway and as a package operator I'd always use them.
