 Hi there folks , is there anyone here going to th Sandown Historics in a couple of weeks ? I will be taking 'Saggy ' across for some more exercise and the Brock '73 car will also be running in regularity .

As at last monday there were 350 + entries so it should be a great event again.

I'm going with the Cooper, it will be no. 37 in JKL, pre 1961 racing cars for those unfamiliar with our classifications.

Nope, I would love to go for a look but I am going to Mt Gambier to run at the hillclimb.

Will be attempting to assist the Charger if that is possible, presuming the engine goes back in before then.

 Hi all , got back late yesterday and had a good time at the Sandown Historics, 'saggy' got through unscathed and even managed a result so that was a bonus !

And for a lot of the afternoon I was the only one this side of the fence - most people didn't bother coming past Dandenong Rd corner

We went up there last year, to "the esses/Marlboro Country" for old times' sake but with that dirty great big cyclone fence , it just wasn't great for spectating.... maybe if I had some stilts.....

Our Charger made it through the weekend ok, and is now out for a spell. From a long way down, we were reasonably happy to slowly progress forward in big fields, but boy are there a lot of big horsepower cars! I know Sandown is "the home of horsepower". I know we were better off in this department than plenty, but I'm reminded of Sean Connery's words in "the Untouchables" - why did you bring a knife to a gun fight?

It's all learning, fun, and nostalgia! :)

So many great cars this weekend. Great to see the parade of Chargers, Williams, F5000s, sporties, etc, etc.

Well done organizers!

Richard Carter's 1:15.8205 on the Sunday arvo seemed a pretty racey sort of a lap - setting any sort of record???
