Yes , Barry , the seventies were great days , and it was wonderful to be involved , it's a shame that things have turned out like they have , I know we can't turn the clock back , and , most of us have great memories of those great , seemingly , carefree days

I'm afraid I can't help with photos, but I can with results archives.... Below copy of a post of mine in the original thread, from..... almost 6 years ago !!! ( can't believe it's been such a long time )
Nothing new for the "missing years"I'm afraid, but a little searching in my (small) MCN collection over lunchtime produced the following more detailed Championship results, so I thought I might as well post them . Again, they are from MCN, the series title sponsor, so hopefully they should be right….
1971
1- Percy Tait (750 Triumph 3)
2- Ray Pickrell (750 Triumph 3)
3- Charlie Sanby (750 Norton)
1972
1- John Cooper (750 Triumph 3) 112 pts , 710 £ total year prize money ( !!!!!!)
2- Ray Pickrell (750 Triumph 3) 84 pts
3- Peter Williams (750 Norton ) 57 pts
4- Phil Read (750 Norton) 50 pts
5- Tony Jefferies (750 Triumph 3) 46 pts
6- Dave Potter (750 Kuhn Norton) 43 pts
7- Paul Smart (750 Triumph 3, Kawasaki 3) 35 pts
8- Mick Grant (750 Norton) 33 pts
9- Dave Nixon (750 Triumph 3) 25 pts
10- Dave Croxford (750 Seeley BSA 3) 23 pts
1973
1- Barry Sheene (750 Suzuki 3)
2- Paul Smart (750 Suzuki 3)
3- Barry Scully (750 Triumph 3)
1974
1- Barry Sheene (750 Suzuki 3)
2- Stan Woods (750 Suzuki 3)
3- Paul Smart (750 Suzuki 3)
1975
1- Mick Grant (750 Kawasaki 3)
2- Barry Ditchburn (750 Kawasaki 3)
3- Barry Sheene (750 Suzuki 3)
1976
1- Barry Sheene (650 Suzuki 4)
2- Mick Grant (750 Kawasaki 3)
3- Barry Ditchburn (750 Kawasaki 3)
1977
1- Barry Sheene (650 Suzuki 4)
2- Mick Grant (750 Kawasaki 3)
3- Pat Hennen (650 Suzuki 4)
1978
1- Barry Sheene (650 Suzuki 4)
2- Dave Potter (750 Yamaha 4)
3- Mick Grant (750 Kawasaki 3)
4- Barry Ditchburn (750 Yamaha 4)
5- Will Hartog (650 Suzuki 4)
6- Steve Parrish (750 Yamaha 4)
Also, an important change of rules was announced in the pre-79 season issue , " which allows 500cc GP and Formula 1 ( TTF1 ? ) machines to challenge the established 750cc racers". So we can guess that prior to this , the rules were "over 500cc and under 750cc" racing machines.
