I'll certainly try to be there...

But it's also a bad time for me. Dinnertime, my wife is wanting dinner or serving it up or something, and it's also just at the close of my phone call bracket time.

But I'll see if we can have an early dinner. Not real likely because the lawn needs mowing, and that's just the time when you have to get out there in the cool of the evening and keep on going till you can't see the grass any more!

Blody hell! I've had to take my shoes and socks off to work it out.

So, 7pm Ronmac time is 9am UK time . So, public transport permitting, I will be at work opening up my computer and drinking my first cup of what the machine says is coffee. ):

So according to that site 7 pm Queensland time equates to 9 am GMT. Ron will give us a countdown as usual, I'm sure.

Yes - you should have put your clocks back an hour a fortnight ago. :p

What time zone are you on in Australia Ron there seem to be at least 3 ?

Check out the link in post 12 - it's very complicated. You have to move your clocks forward two and a half hours if you cross from Western Australia into South Australia ...

Queensland may be an hour behind, but it's weeks in front. We're only up to the Tasmanian round of SuperTaxis in the deep south.

How does that work out?

There are three time zones in Australia, that is all. Eastern... Queensland, NSW (except Broken Hill and Silverton), Victoria and Tasmania. Central... South Australia, Northern Territory and the Broken Hill region of NSW. WA is out on its own.

From memory, WA is 1h 30m behind Central time, Central is half an hour (yes, just 30 minutes) behind Eastern.

Apart from Queensland, I think (but I haven't checked...) all states and territories are currently on Daylight Saving Time, which means they're an hour ahead of usual.

How does that work out?

All I have to go on is the map from the link in post 12, which says that Western Australia and Northern Territory are also not (yet?) on Daylight Saving Time, so WA is currently two and a half hours behind SA. Apologies if this is duff gen.

Very curious. I read this then looked down to the bottom right hand corner and it was an hour fast. I went into "My Profile" to change the setting and it changed automatically without my doing anything.

E1, I suggest you check your settings to see if you've got automatic Daylight Saving adjustment selected. Click on ‘My Controls’ at the top of the page, then on ‘Board Settings’ (bottom left) then see if there's a tick in the ‘Auto Correct DST?’ box. If not, put one in and then click on 'Change my Account Options'. It should then adjust automatically, but as Duncan and others have found, it's not always 100% reliable.

Exactly what I did, and per your post it seems it worked.

Er you did say "English" which I am, and in which direction you in Oz used to look!
I know that US-English has become the language of choice for non-native speakers (like "Eff Wun" drivers) but still . . .

Yes Allan, what I was trying to say, though leaving a word out...( my answers appear to be American ) is that
this quiz arrived as an email and I thought that I would use it..
The answers given were....period..comma..colon..semi colon..dash..hyphen..apostrophe..question mark..
exclamation mark..quotation mark..brackets parenthisis..braces..ellipses.. Does that appear to be from
the U.S.A. ? As you can probably tell English is not my strong subject..So won.t try to compete with you.
But I must say in Australia we get far too many so called "American Experts " and have pleasure switching
them off..!!
