Rear wing F-duct operated by DRS.

Were starting to compound our acronyms lads, this could get messy.

They would have to create an RBR middle exit and sacrifce the top of the gearbox area for it.

Maldonado looked good on inters, near the end of P2, when the best were set, the team was focusing on the race.
It was visible that they weren't using DRS.

I think they don't have many spare FW's because when they went out on the wet track they fitted the old model.

They tested both, actually. You can see pictures of Bruno with both the old and new wing, which matches the aerodynamic testing they were doing according to Gillan.

Yes they tested both, i just said that when they went out in the wet, they go with the old one.

When they put slicks on, they fit the new wing.

I know there isn't much to be said of the first practices, but on the onboards the car looked pretty nice to drive, not skittish, no real sliding about.

Good session in FP3 there, on track the car looks good other than Sennas moment.

Happy with Pastors time on the mediums at the end of a decently long run too as well as his lap at the end despite being disrupted by MS.

Bruno had a decent run too then that was disrupted.

Being optimistic and hoping for one car in the top ten :p

The fun part is, i think there was more to come from the FW34, Maldonado did a 26.2 in Q2 with a big mistake in sector 3.

The car looks fantastic
Great job by the team and Pastor and great day for everyone that believed in Williams

Well I have to say it. I said when Williams fired Michael and hired proper design engineers in the form of Gillan and Coughlan they would improve. Maldonado did not look too shabby for a pay driver.

Maldonado did well, Senna not to bad,
this is better than what I was expecting for Williams, good job, and maybe during the race the improvement ca be bigger with the Renault engine using less fuel and treating better the tyres compared to last year

Cracking lap from Maldonado.

Bruno looked good until his last flier in Q2, slightly disappointing.

Senna said on tv that he expects a better race, the car is good on tires and some of the teams infront have a stronger DRS effect.

I wonder why we're the slowest team on the S2? But then the car is the second fastest one on S1? At least that bodes well for the track with fast corners.

Second in S1? No, Pastor was pink in the first sector during (a staggering 26.2, not matched even by McLaren)

It's looking good, finally

Yeah, he was quickest on the sector 1 in q2. But then the McLarens bettered it.

S2 is a Mercedes sector, top speed maybe?

It's difficult these days, maybe Williams is using too much kers in S1 and less in S2, it is difficult to judge (without looking at the telemetry, probably/hopefully the team understands what's going on).

Apparently they didn't have any updates either, most teams around them would have, more to come when we get an upgrade package?

What sort of results do Pastor and Bruno have to acheive to get away from the 'pay driver' tag?
