During the seventies and early eighties there were a trio of riders that came from the Lowestoft area that were all sponsored by, I believe, Conway Motors. If my memory is correct they were Andy Bond, Kevin Clarke and Bob Capps. They all were well up the front at some time and I think Andy Bond probably is the best known of the three. If anyone has any memories of these riders and any photos they would be good to hear and see.

I think they were just selling cars and vans and had nothing to do with bikes.

Many thanks for sharing the photos. It is nice to see an old 'fish scale' painted helmet again. I don't know who started off doing it first but Henk Vink springs to mind.

Andy is still around and does car repairs . His eldest son had a bad time competing in Euro Superstock with a well underfinanced outfit and has quit racing whilst youngest son is getting very good at off road.
Conway were run by John Mitchell and did indeed sell used cars.
Andys best result was coming joint second in the Shellsport Awards with "my man" Mick James ,the Suzuki production racing ace .We all went up to London for the Awards night and Dave Dean (who was number one) won a new RG500 .
Andy also competed more recently in the Suzuki 1200 Bandit challenge but had a bad fall which finished his racing.
