The F112's have arrived :)

So much for good old Joe Saward saying that the cars wouldn't arrive in Australia... :rotfl:

Actually what Saward had said was that Holzer would not release the cars unless they received outstanding payments. He did qualify the statement in that he added that HRT would pay and allow the release of the chassis.

Put down at Ricciardo's garage? Ricciardo is not a HRT driver already, he's driving for Toro Rosso.

And Toro Rosso cars have gold rims too.

But don't get me wrong, I just opined the photo. HRT can be there already, but this photo isn't about it.

STR's rim is mostly dark blue.

It's Lotus that have gold rims but it's not theirs.

The car in that photo is HRT.

Just checked, the rims are gold to be precise, the 'spokes' are dark blue. :p

OK, it's a HRT, I have no problem with that, the opposite. :smoking:

I shouldn't laugh But the sight of all the teams with their vacuum packed cars and then HRT with an old tarpaulin is epic

Vacuum packed cars? Care to ellaborate? I thought all teams just use tarpaulin to pack the cars for the shipping!

It may be a mistake based on that last year Ricciardo drove for HRT.

But maybe the workers put down the cars all over the place as they can without bothering with the sorting.

It has fully gold rims which the F112 has... where as the Toro Rosso has blue rims with Gold on the outside... Plus it's a HRT transporter box.

There are other pics of cars in front of the wrong team garage.

Melbourne pitline is so small, they basically just drop the cars wherever there is some space.

jamiegc, thanks for the picture comparison. Thought that still counts as tarpaulin, just a bit better "installed". HRTs of course looks like it just got thrown over in a hurry.

I really do not know what to make out of em. They sacked all the good staff and well the drivers are not really the best.
OK Marussia has more problems so 2nd last team for me.

Are they better than Catherham and Williams ? I doubt it.

Hope they can qualify for all races and get something good out of this season.

People has to realize that this is the first season for HRT, new management, new engineers, new mechanics, new car design... almost nothing to do with old Hispania. They will struggle and will be far from Caterham, expecting something different is not realistic. They need time to improve the whole team and that means several seasons. I find interesting and exciting to follow a team growing in F1 from zero, specially the first proper Spanish team. I know they will get a lot of criticism from people that would say they're not serious and all that BS as if they were hurting anyone...

Well for me they are fine. All teams are welcome. I want as many cars on the track as virtually possible.
Just hope the car works out.

Same goes for Marussia.

Yes I want all teams and even more ! American, Korean , Japanese and maybe South America & Australian teams . People like to say F1 is the pinnacle of Motorsport but its not really until they have great motoring nations participating with teams.

I read somewhere today (I think it was PDLR) , HRT is in F1 for a reason the reason is Spain's great interest in the Sport.

Yes looks like they were more interested in what HRT were up 2, or maybe Mercedes and HRT were the first to arrive from Germany. I just hope HRT don't miss a second of practice and be the first ones out!

It's good that they have arrived. At least they will be able to borrow spanners and nuts and bolts from other F1 teams. And F1 quality duct tape.

I'd like to see them on the grid in Oz, just to become a legend in the art of survival. I always felt that Aguri guy was royally screwed by the piranha club.

If MustangSally was being serious it would have been something Like, HRT don't need KERS this year because they need the extra space for their secret Flux Capacitor so they can simultaneously become 2012 and 2013 world Champions!

Unfortunately HRT are in Melbourne and so are both cars. I just hope HRT doesn't miss a second of practice.

Nice to see the name "De La Rosa" in there again.

Hard work ahead, although the most difficult has been done already, now it´s the time to grow little by little.

Exactly. Joe Saward's comments about HRT are often bang on the money although he admits he doesn't understand the Spanish regional mentality that prevents logical tie-ups like HRT/Epsilon Euskadi (or what remains of that team).

As a complete sucker for the underdog however I am glad that HRT have made it to Oz and like the last two seasons I hope they mug the Virgins for 11th place. Good luck to them!

I didn't think it was possible but history repeats itself, again! I had thought that was odd as the monocoque in the previous pictures looked like it had yet to be built. So we can expect to hear that they will be breaking the curfews as well.

This is the sort of news that destroys the credibility of a team. Eventually the powers that be will just lose patience with the outfit. All we need now is for Bernie to start giving his opinion on this setup.

You can't destroy something that's not there.. as for the powers that be, Kolles was pretty close to Bernie so I think HRT kinda lost a shield there..

Doesn't look too good, if they manage to put the cars together it's gonna be fingers-crossing time that they run reliably.. I'll be quite impressed if they're within 107% too.
