It wouldn't surprise me with a LPS saying HRT will change its name in the future and tie in with Barwa to result in a Barwa Addax Renault F1 Team since there are still rumours that HRT will move to Renault from next year.

B.A.R F1 Team - like it

They can with special permission from the FIA and from other teams of course.

But HRT need to fully focus on Aero and Mechanical side to make a better fist of the F113, maybe with an integrated Renault they will make a better jump?

HRT can't even afford to run KERS so I doubt they could afford the major disruption of a change of engine supplier. Despite all speculation there is no " Major Sponsor" in the offing. They need a period of stability to concentrate on the 2014 rule change. The complexity and expense of the the new engine and transmissions might proove a bridge too far for the smaller teams, unless of course, they acquire another affordable deal from a supplier.

As in the Karthikeyan article above, HRT's biggest concern is staying alive. Not developing the car.

Hi there, one of our mates on Pedro's forum has prepared a nice report on HRT's new facilities.

Check here: http://issuu.com/log...l_caja_magica_2

It's in spanish but there are dozen of good photos, too.

Nice to see Adrian there!

Nice pictures. Looks like a very good facility.

Is it me but does Perez Sala look unwell? He looks gaunt almost cachectic, one hopes it's not the stress of his job.

You do know that Times of India article in which Narain's actually bring the gearbox isn't true, surely they have already paid for it :)

Even Narain said don't read the Time of India :drunk:

Karthikeyan did a good job in Monaco. It would have been easy to criticise him if he had got in the way of the leaders, ruined the six-car train at the front or bought out a safety car by crashing.

He was all over the road but got it to the end which is all he needed to do and in a high attrition race, that can mean championship positions.

Except he has a (deserved) reputation for doing just that. His other claim to fame is finishing 4th in a 6-car race with Jordan (ahead of two Minardis).

Yeah, he's not F1 material, nobody is kidding themselves but if he has a fairly good (other than missing the chicane several times and nearly binning it at Lowes) weekend then it should be pointed out.

The championship position argument is clearly nonsense as Petrov and de la Rosa are clearly faster but if he keeps it on the road in a tough race, he goes a long way to warranting some credit.

Time to come to Karthikeyan's defence.

Now that we've seen just what those awesome Pirelli tyres are capable of, I believe Narain would be ideally suited for their Test Driver role.
Tyres are clearly NOT suitable for RACING and he's just as clearly NOT a race driver.

Be like a marriage made in heaven.

As lemec says Campos Meta 1.S.L is the legal name for HRT to work under for finance and legal implications and to be honest it is a "Holding Company" name.

BTW they are working on changing their legal name. :)

Yes true I don't know how the legal system works in Spain, it might just be a formality they need to follow when employing new people. Kind of makes sense, people need to know the legal / registered name of who really employs them.

I think Campos Meta was a better name then HRT/Hispania anyway. I think if HRT can get the positions filled quickly we will see an improved team next year when people can start focusing more on doing the jobs they are best suited for.

Not on fumes but significantly less fuel than Marussia. Expect normal service to be restored come qualifying.

they where not as low as you think ;) why would the two teams change the pattern of the practice sessions now, 7 races into the season?

I honestly think the F112's pace has improved.

I think it's gonna be tight this weekend between HRT and Marussia. I don't think that MR01 likes long straights very much, because their top speeds have never been very good.

PDLR outqualifies both Marussia cars. Still some distance off STR and Caterham though.

Just to put that into context, everyone thought the team wouldn't exist 6 months ago.

Pedro was 1.229 behind Heikki who was the quickest in Q1 and 0.890 behind Vergne.

It must be the closest HRT have been to Caterham in their existence along with an established team.

Probably best for HRT to go for high speed given the amount of lap doing so, I presume it must be the traction out of the corners etc that lets them down. Still, a fab effort from PDLR!
