A few more bikes and the MotoGP grid will look fine.
Hopefully the CRTs will go significantly forward through the season.

Once again it'll be hard to judge Bautista's performance, the only rider with the same level of equipement will be Bradl, who's a rookie.

He'll be on a Honda. After a while it'll become clear if they have hit the sweetspot again and how good the bike is.

It is not official.

I think you mean Danilo Petrucci. Yes, ha was, but his team doesn't confirmed (yet?) officially.

I heard something about JD Beach getting a ride in WSS as well. Watch for him to go fast, whether it's on pavement or flying through gravel.

I was just popping in here to say the same thing! Not *quite* as good as the first one, but still totally enjoyable.

And it was lovely seeing you, of course, even if it was only for a single fleeting moment.

Likewise! My buddy and I had to get back to the south bay, otherwise I'd have stuck around and forced a drink or two on you guys. :)

I thought it was interesting that the movie still focused so heavily on Rossi in a season where Lorenzo and Pedrosa were the main contenders but the bottom line is that Rossi still has the biggest personality and the biggest following. If he goes away before someone at least close to that comes along then MotoGP as a profitable source of entertainment may be in trouble.

South African Mathew Scholtz gets the 4th bike at PTR Honda WSS for 2012. Mathew, 19, from Durban, made his mark on international racing in 2008 when he was selected to contest the Red Bull Rookies MotoGP Series, taking a win and three podiums that year. He then moved on to racing in the Spanish and German 125cc Championships as well as Moto2 with impressive results.

Alstare considering WSS move with MV Agusta

Speaking to GPOne.com, though Batta says any potential debut would not occur until midway through the 2012 season, he admits it's a tempting option.

"I'm working to do some races in Supersport in 2012 with the new F3 but we need to know how competitive the bike will be. We have not signed anything, so we won't be ready come February, but we could make our first appearance during the season.”

I have not kept up with motoNews these past few weeks, can someone aware me how Sir Colin of Edwards is doing? Has he healed? Will he be taking part in testing anytime soon?

He had some serious injuries IIRC. Is his participation in 2012 season confirmed or are there any doubt owing to medical fitness?

He's signed for the works Honda team.

Despite losing Hopkins and the Crescent team it looks like there'll be a few strong contenders next year. Brookes and Laverty were as quick as anyone by the end of last season, Hill's still at Yamaha, Byrne and Easton are very good riders on what should be a winning bike. And I suppose with the Evo rules being standard next year there's an unusual chance for a breakout team from the midfield. WFR Honda is the obvious team to mention here, and their rider line-up is very strong.

Was it Mary Spies that told the story of Marco playing with the children at the hospital, letting them ride on his back and tug at his hair? Wish I could find the quote but I think it was a Facebook comment.
