I found this picture of the Ferrari 125 0114 driven by Cobden reported as a Mt Druitt race.

http://www.blacktown...ack---1950s.cfm

In my database I have
Mt Druitt Cobden 01/04/1955 race number 3
Mt Driutt Cobden 08/08/1954 race number ??

Cobden raced the Ferrari at Mount Druitt in 1954 on 28/06, 08/08 and 17/10

However, the only one of those occasions in which Davison and Brabham, the other drivers in the photograph, were present, was the October meeting

Is this a thread about the Mt Druitt circuit or about that photo?

There is an obvious error in the caption, too... you could deduce that the circuit was 3.6kms long throughout the 1948 to 1958 period, however the early races were held up and down the airstrip. An airstrip that formed the foundation for the circuit and isn't mentioned at all.

Yeah, right, one of the best circuits in the country!

At the time it was running it was definitely one of Australia's best 50 circuits :)

Probably one of the best ten... at the time...

But it was a pretty broad brush with which they gave it the label.

Absolutely...

Even the likes of Wangaratta. But they're definitely all better than none.
