Chris Mehew? TT 1971/72?
Super photo Eric.
Agree, Chris Mehew and Geoff Barry, TT startline, guessing at 72, Eric's Ducati in shot too.
Eric have you seen the new TT film 'Closer To The Edge' yet? Chris is featured in the film and describes his TT debut.

Correct:- Geoff Barry and Chris Mehew -- not many riders were ever as skinny as Chris..!Agree, Chris Mehew and Geoff Barry, TT startline, guessing at 72, Eric's Ducati in shot too.

It was 1975, and practice for the first year of the very short-lived, 10-lap, 2-rider Production TT.
Chris partnered me on the Ducati 750 (valve-spring) Sport -- we finished 14th in Class, both lapping at 90mph.
Chris, of course, is now the well renowned engine tuner/builder, (even back then, he used to laugh & say he might be a "guru" someday..!).
Paul -- we saw the film in 3D at the Cleethorpes cinema in the summer. Fantastic.
It's a great pity in such a production that they spelled Chris' name wrongly as "Mayhew" -- still often done even after his 40 years on the scene.
Happy Christmas to All, Eric.

Yes Chris has suffered that mis-spelling constantly through the years, I used to get in to see him occasionally when he was in Ulceby, usually dropping off engines for people.
Talking of the film, I called in to see Guys dad Ian shortly after he'd been to see it in Cleethorpes, he said him and the missus had shrunk into their seats with embarassment during Guy's explanation of his solo activities in the van

Sneaky ! Yes, 'tis the lad himself, in the Pukekohe traffic when he was out there in 1999. Have found a few pics so I'll be knocking up a wee thread about that weekend and how we managed with minimal budget to stitch together a video about it all.
Look forward to it, Glenn. Erm, where's he going?
