He also pedalled a Marlboro liveried McLaren in the Maclean Hunter Open [nee Libre] series later in the 80's, does anyone know anything about the guy as the McLaren was quite a head turner in the paddock at Mallory!

While posting some old programme listings on my Heroes of FF1600 page on Facebook, the name Arnold Glass appeared driving a Double B Race Hire Royale RP24 in a round of the 1980 BARC FF1600 Championship.

arnold also had March 811-6 in usa looked after by alan McCall circa 1990-94 ishoh boy isnt it? I was aware of the Mclaren/Can Am stuff but I had forgotten the Australian business and the boat racing is an added bonus. A proper speed merchant.

The other day he mentioned him, the point he made was that Glass had the fastest time ever around Bathurst in a 250F.

I would never have expected it, but I have on a number of occasions heard people say that the car really suited him.

This of course raises the question: do any of the cars currently racing in "Historic" racing have 3-litre lumps?

I saw on another thread that some of the Australian 250F's had 3-litre engines, presumably using 300S components or even complete engines. Was this one of them?

Hello,
Listen very carefully all. I can only say this once, as I've been asked not to repeat it. At least one Historic 250F did for a while, but it has since been removed.
Cheers all and a very Merry Christmas,
Barrie
