Part 2 is a bit different only two questions but it could take a lot of brain power.

1}
Name as many car manufactures or entries between 1966 and 1972 as you can beginning with the letter M

These must be from national race meetings only and not to include any European sports/GT or single seater series race.
Categories can include Saloon cars, Sports & GT cars, Formula's Ford, 3, Atlantic,& 5000, Vee, Super Vee, Monoposto, Clubmans, F750, F1200, Historic's all between the years quoted.

I have a list of 27 so far.

2} Same as above but with the letter L

NOTE Mini is not an accepted answer .

Yes. Both cars were inspired by Dizzy Addicott's DART project, but had no connection apart from that. See this page:

http://www.minimarco...g.uk/mmhdt.html

and the other chapters on that site about Mini Marcos and Mini Jem.

Of the Vees there was a Landar (re-named Smithfield), Monaco (Austro copy from Biota) & Lynx (later re-named Caracal, or is USA outside the scope of your question?), during that time but I couldn't be sure because I am far too young to remember!

Landar is on my list but i have it as the GT car , so it qualifies twice for inclusion.

I am surprised that you have not 3 of the ones i thought would be easy.?

A F5000 winner

A Special builder who had a series of smart and purposeful cars.?

And a very commonly used Historic racer of those years .?

Were you thinking about Keith Messer's cars? Did he start pre '72 or am I barking up the wrong tree?

There was also a BRITISH F2 Championship within those years as well as F2 cars taking part in such races as the Oulton Park Gold Cup.

I'm sure I've seen photos of a Morris 1100 racing - but it may have been in Australia , South Africa or somewhere. And a Mini Traveller (or does that come under "Mini"?)

Had a Mitsubishi reached British tracks or hillclimbs in period?

On several occasions I hired cars manufactured by Mitsubishi in the late 70's and IIRC they carried the "Colt" brand name not sure when this practice started or ceased ?

Well before 1972, I think you'll find.

Unless Japan doesn't count, in which case "I'm out...."

That's not how you asked it, or how I (mis)understood it.

What's in Part 3, cars of the Galapagos Islands Hillclimb Championship 1948~53? :stoned:
